About

Nancy and Jeff make up the partnership behind Lemmontree Design.
Our Team

Lemmontree Design is an Interior Design consultation/renovation partnership providing Interior Design, Re-design, Staging and Renovation/Construction services in Norfolk County and surrounding areas.

Nancy Ernst-Lemmon is a graduate of Durham College with a diploma in Interior Design and has over 25 years of corporate and commercial design experience with a local Architect. She has also worked for Interior Designers in Brantford, Toronto and Switzerland.  Nancy is a registered Interior Designer with the Association of Registered Interior Designers of Ontario (ARIDO) as well as a member of the Interior Designers of Canada (IDC) and is registered with the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ).  Nancy has now expanded her career to include residential design and home staging and is a graduate of the Staging Diva Home Staging Business Training Program by the home staging expert, Debra Gould.
Since 2017, Nancy has taught Architectural Drafting Fundamentals for Fanshawe College in Simcoe and since 2009 she has been a member of the Program Advisory Committee for the Bachelor of Interior Design degree program at Conestoga College in Kitchener, On.

As a girl growing up in rural southern Ontario, Nancy would constantly re-arrange her bedroom depending on how she wanted the space to feel.  That was the spark that became her future.  In high school, she was enrolled in Art class every year, but it wasn’t until grade 11 that she decided she was interested in Architecture and the Interior Design profession but did not have any drafting credits.  She succeeded at drafting in grade 11 and in grade 12, she received the 2nd place Drafting award while her brother received 1st place.

After attaining her Interior Design Diploma from Durham College, she married her college sweetheart, Jeff. They just celebrated their 30th anniversary.

Jeff Lemmon also attained his Interior Design Diploma at Durham College, worked in Toronto at Architectural and Interior Design firms before heading to Switzerland.  Jeff’s desire for more tactile working endeavours meant he preferred not to be tethered to a computer.  Now he focuses design knowledge into hands-on implementation of interior construction and renovation projects.  He has gained a wealth of knowledge in many different trades and with attention to detail in aesthetics and function, he provides those to each of our clients.  He maintains good relationships with the local trades community that benefits each of our clients as well.

Jeff’s design talent in 3D sketching and watercolour renderings have gained local recognition. He has been commissioned to provide architectural renderings, residential estate portraits and heritage documentation throughout Norfolk County.

Jeff has always had a love for design and architecture, when he was 18 he built his parents’ garage at their rural property close to St. Mary’s, Ontario.  Jeff’s mother could be considered an oil painting artist so he comes by artistic painting skills honestly.

Both Nancy & Jeff worked in Toronto for boutique Interior Design firms for a while and then landed work visas for a year in Switzerland where they worked for an Architect/Interior Designer and experienced life in the Alps and were exposed to European Design and travel.
Jeff & Nancy live in Waterford, Ontario with their mini schnauzer and have two wonderful children, who are currently at College & University studying in art related disciplines.
